bathurst church conversion

project description

To renovate and re-imagine this disused church we looked to the simple forms of shearing sheds and abstracted that to a triangular plan sitting adjacent the rectangular church. Located on a sheep grazing property and on a small hill overlooking a bend in the creek, the stone church retains its dominance of the locality while the simple shed form of the adjoining kitchen and bedrooms speaks to the locality and history of the property.
